Introduction
- Magic Apple Mobile allows a user to make and receive calls, send SMS (if enabled), and manage communications through a smartphone.
Installation Instructions

iOS:
- Go to the App Store and search for "Magic Apple Mobile."
- Click on “Install.”
- Alternative installation methods:
- QR Code: Scan the QR code to install the App.
Initial Setup
- You will receive a welcome email. Message will be sent from voicemail@magicapple.tech and subject will be “Your new phone system account”.
- Click the Complete Setup button and set the password.
- The username and password will be used to login to the app.
- Launch the app after installation.

Login Options:
- Manual Login: Enter username (extension@domain) and password. This will be the same username and password you set via the welcome email.
- QR Code Setup: Enter your username (extension@domain) below on the Generate QR code for Magic Apple Mobile. Press Generate QR Code and enter your password and generate the QR code, open the app, and scan the QR code.
- Follow prompts to grant permissions (Microphone, Camera, Contacts, etc.) necessary for app functionality.
Navigation Overview
- Top left: Displays your extension and name.
- Top right: Gear icon for accessing settings.
- Default to the keypad screen.
- Bottom toolbar includes: Quick Dial, Messages (internal chat/SMS), Keypad, Contacts, History, and Browser.
Key Features

Keypad:
- Open by default for easy dialing.
- Make calls by entering a number and pressing the green call button.

Messages:
- SMS: Send and receive text messages (if enabled).
- Internal Chat: Messaging with other users on the platform.

Quick Dial:
- Set up speed dials for frequently called numbers. Can be setup from the user portal. Or entered on the phone.

Contacts:
- Access your phone’s address book and the company directory. Toggle between the two at the top of directory screen.

Call History:
- View all, missed, and recorded calls.

Browser:
- Move Calls, access Visual Voicemail, Call Park, and User Settings.
Making and Receiving Calls
- Making a Call:
- Open the app, enter the number and press the green call button.
- Receiving a Call:
- Call will ring on the phone. It depends on if the app was open how the incoming call window will look.
- Push notification - will bring a normal looking, ringing display like you see on iOS, but it will show Magic Apple Softphone on the notification and the slide to answer.
- App open - ringing notification will be at the top of the screen. With a red x for reject and a blue check mark for answer.
Do Not Disturb (DND) Feature
The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature allows you to silence incoming calls and notifications within the Magic Apple Mobile app. When DND is enabled, the app will not ring or make any notification sounds, providing you with uninterrupted focus.
- From the main screen of the app, locate your extension number at the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap the extension number to open the account menu.
- In the menu, toggle the Do Not Disturb (DND) option to On.
- Then close the menu.
- Once enabled it will show a DND icon beside the extension number, indicating that is active.
- To disable it, repeat the process and toggle DND Off.
In call features
- Mute - mutes the microphone on the app.
- Speakerphone - enables and disables speakerphone. It will be light grey if enabled.
- Keypad - press keypad while on a call to enter digits in an auto attendant.
- i button - provides network information on the call. Signal Strength of cell or wifi, codecs, jitter, packet loss.
- Hold - press the Hold key to put the caller on hold, it will highlight the button. Press again to pickup the call.
- Transfer (blind) - press the Transfer key, dial the number to transfer to, press the green phone icon.
- Attended Transfer - press the Attended Transfer key, dial the number to transfer to, press the green phone icon, announce the call, then press Transfer.
- Add Call - press the Add Call key, dial the number to add, press the green phone icon. You can then press Join to make it a 3 way call. You can then press split to separate the calls as well.
Managing Voicemail
- Click the browser icon in the app.
- Click Visual VM
- Play, Forward, Save, Message, Delete
- caller id number and name
- Date, Time
- Length of message
Settings Overview
- Account Settings: Shows the current account that you are logged in as. If you press save in iOS it will reprovision the app.

Preferences
- Ringtone - set ringtone for the app.
- Sound: Advanced adjustments for microphone and echo suppression settings.
- Network: Advanced settings for Network Change Strategy and preferred networks.
- Controls: Additional settings related to the dialer.
- Call Forwarding: Allow call forwarding from the mobile app, not recommended to use.
- Do Not Disturb: Allows scheduling DND for the app.

Contact Sort Order: Adjust the call sorting order.
- First name, Last name
- Last name, First name
- About: Shows the version of the app
- Usage: Shows some basic user stats on the app.

Logout - Reset App: This will logout the app and you will be required to log back in for the app to work again.
